| -Grand Master Cho, an internationally recognized leader in the global development of Tae Kwon Do, worked with Virginia State House Delegate Tim Hugo to create House Bill 1905 (HB 1905) for the Licensing of Tae Kwon Do After-School Programs in Virginia!- |
I wish to share with you the fruits of the work that has taken me over 2 ¨ö years to accomplish.
I have been working closely and very hard with the Virginia House of Delegates in the
development of House Bill 1905 (HB1905). This bill exempts Taekwondo after-school
programs from being licensed. Before this measure, Virginia State Law viewed Taekwondo
programs such as ours as daycare centers and therefore subject to licensure. I am
extremely happy to see this dream come true. Today we can all celebrate the passing of
this important bill. I would like to thank Delegate Tim Hugo, Mark L. Keam, and Delegate
Salvatore R. Iaquinto who sponsored the bill without whose help this would not be possible.
